Inlays / Onlays
The Long Term Approach To Tooth Restoration
Dental inlays and dental onlays sit ‘in’ or ‘on’ a tooth and are referred to as an indirect filling.
They are often used to restore back teeth that have lost some or all of their sides of due to decay, breaks and wear. Depending on the situation, inlays and onlays are also used to repair teeth that have cracked or been damaged in an accident or sporting injury
These restorations are durable and typically made from state of the art ceramic materials. They are colour matched to natural tooth enamel and give an aesthetically pleasing smile, as well as a long term, durable restorative solution. Ceramic materials are strong and durable, made from hardened glass or metal oxides. A ceramic inlay or onlay is similar to a dental crown and is an indirect restoration, usually requiring two appointments to be completed.
